B480GNQR hot rolled steel is to add a certain amount of alloy elements, such as Cu, P, Cr and so on to promote the formation of protective oxide coating on the surface of the product to improve the corrosion resistance of steel in the atmosphere.
In the steel standard GB/ T 4171, B480GNQR is actually a kind of structural steel being corrosion resistant. Here 235 MPA minimum yielding strength and 360-510 MPA tensile strength. As per the various impacting temperature, B480GNQR steel plates can be given the names like B480GNQRE, B480GNQRA, B480GNQRD, and B480GNQRC.
